In Brief
Ms. Takahashi is a civil litigation defense attorney in our Oakland office. Since joining the firm, Ms. Takahashi has represented clients in a variety of cases with an emphasis on products liability, toxic torts, and premises liability. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Ms. Takahashi's practice emphasized maritime and business litigation as well as environmental regulatory compliance.
While in law school, Ms. Takahashi was co-chair of the Hastings Moot Court Board, represented her school in a number of Moot Court Competitions and won numerous awards for her oral advocacy. She was also a contributing member of the Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal. In 2005, Ms. Takahashi externed for the Honorable Lowell Jensen of the United States District Court, Northern District.

Ms. Takahashi has experience in both federal and state court representing businesses and individuals in both prosecuting and defending contract and other commercial claims throughout California.
Toxic Tort and Asbestos
Ms. Takahashi is currently part of a team involved in litigating a variety of complex toxic tort matters for Fortune 500 companies. She represents Chevron U.S.A. Inc., Cytec Engineered Materials Inc., The Dow Chemical Company, American Cyanamid Company, Fiberite Inc., Texaco Inc., and Unocal Corporation, in asbestos product liability and premises liability actions throughout California.
Silica
Ms. Takahashi is currently part of a team that represents Chevron U.S.A. Inc., and Hewlett-Packard Company in the defense of silica-related product and premises personal injury claims filed in California state court. |
