Representative Matters
Toxic Tort
Ms. Walker has successfully defended Chevron U.S.A. Inc. and The Dow Chemical
Company in numerous product liability actions involving claims of chemical
exposure and groundwater contamination. Ms. Walker has also successfully represented
Coastal West Ventures in a product liability claim based upon alleged
exposure to benzene and Haworth, a national furniture manufacturer, in a mass
tort action for alleged “sick building syndrome.”
Asbestos
Ms. Walker represents Chevron U.S.A. Inc., Cytec Engineered Materials Inc.,
The Dow Chemical Company, CARQUEST Corporation, El Paso Natural Gas
Company, American Cyanamid Company, Fiberite Inc., Texaco Inc. and Unocal
Corporation in asbestos product liability and premises liability actions throughout
California.
Pharmaceutical
Ms. Walker has worked with Mr. Strotz in successfully defending AstraZeneca
Pharmaceuticals LP in dental anesthetic and needle product liability cases filed
in California and Florida.
Government Tort Liability
Ms. Walker has represented the City of Concord and the County of Alameda
in personal injury and premises liability claims alleging dangerous condition of
public property.
Employment
Ms. Walker has successfully defended the Berkeley Unifi ed School District and
Chevron U.S.A. Inc. in cases where plaintiffs claimed wrongful termination
based on racial discrimination. |
