In Brief
Steven D. Park is an associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He defends Fortune 100 and other large companies in a wide range of complex litigation matters, including commercial and products liability cases. Mr. Park has significant deposition, motion, case management and trial experience and has worked closely with experts and other team members to evaluate cases, develop trial strategies and, ultimately, obtain favorable outcomes for his clients.
Mr. Park earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Cornell Law School in 2001 and his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Northridge in 1997. Mr. Park is a member of both the Korean-American Bar Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Representative Matters
Pharmaceutical
Mr. Park currently represents AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP, AstraZeneca LP and Zeneca Holdings, Inc. in many products liability actions involving alleged injuries resulting from the administration of an anesthetic medication through a “pain pump.”
Mr. Park previously represented a major pharmaceutical company in complex, products liability litigation involving alleged claims of valvular heart damage as a result of ingesting diet medication.
Toxic Torts
Mr. Park represents ICI Americas, Inc. and Benjamin Moore & Company in personal injury cases, involving claims of exposure to benzene.
Mr. Park represents various clients, including Chevron U.S.A. Inc., Union Oil Company of California, Texaco Inc., West Coast Shipping Company and Cytec Engineered Materials Inc., in products and premise liability matters involving alleged harm as a result of exposure to asbestos.
Mr. Park represents The Dow Chemical Company in a wrongful death lawsuit involving claims that the decedent developed lung cancer from alleged exposure to various chemicals.
Commercial
Mr. Park represents Bristol Farms in a matter involving claims of alleged breach of contract.
Mr. Park represented New Albertsons, Inc. against claims that the terms of a third-party factoring agreement applied to the supermarket chain.
Mr. Park previously represented Akzo Nobel Paints LLC in commercial litigation relating to the sales of paint and coating products. Mr. Park successfully negotiated a favorable settlement in that matter.
